How WakeStill handles your photos, generated videos, account and payment data, including automatic deletion of all uploaded photos after 30 days.

WakeStill (“we”, “us”) is operated by Clooms Tech, Boulder, Colorado, United States, and turns two photos into a short AI tiptoe dance video. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short on purpose. Contact: support@wakestill.com.

What we collect

  • Account data. Your name, email address and profile picture when you sign in with Google or by email.
  • Photos you upload. The two selfies you add to make a video. We remove location and camera metadata (EXIF) when the photo is uploaded.
  • Generated videos. The videos we render for you and the scene and quality you chose.
  • Consent record. The time and IP address at which you confirmed you have permission to use the photos.
  • Payment data. Payments are handled by our payment provider and Merchant of Record, Waffo Pancake. We receive the order, amount and status, never your full card number.
  • Usage and device data. Pages viewed, browser and device type, and cookies used to keep you signed in and to measure the site.

How we use it

We use your data to render your videos, run your account and credits, prevent abuse, provide support and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your photos to train our own models.

Photos and how long we keep them

  • Your uploaded photos are used to render your videos and for automated safety review and are never published.
  • Uploaded photos are deleted automatically 30 days after upload, or earlier if you ask us.
  • Photos that fail the automatic safety review are removed from use immediately. Photos rejected for sexual content are deleted at once. Photos rejected for other reasons (for example "may show a minor" or "no person found") are kept privately for up to 7 days so a person at WakeStill can check whether the automatic review was correct, and are then deleted automatically. They are not used to render videos, not shared, and not used for any other purpose.
  • Generated videos stay in your account so you can download them. You can ask us to delete any video or your whole account at any time.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the providers that make the service work, under contract: AI providers (ByteDance Seedance video models, accessed through a third-party API provider, receive your photos and the scene description to render your video; an image safety service (SeeAPI) and AI vision models may receive each uploaded photo to check it for nudity, apparent minors and public figures; vision review may retry or fall back to another model, with up to two attempts per model), cloud storage and hosting, our payment provider (Waffo), Google (sign-in and analytics) and email delivery. We may disclose data if the law requires it or to protect our users and service.

AI-generated content

Videos are generated by AI and are labelled as such. Downloaded files include an AI-generated metadata tag.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies that are necessary for sign-in and security, and analytics cookies (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used. We do not grant Google advertising storage or ad personalization.

Analytics storage is off by default. If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK or Switzerland, or we cannot determine your country, it stays off until you click Accept in the cookie banner. Elsewhere it is on by default and you can turn it off. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can change or withdraw it at any time with "Cookie settings" in the page footer. While analytics is off, we do not send purchase events to analytics and we do not store the utm_source referral cookie (a 30-day cookie that records which campaign brought you here, used for our own signup attribution).

Children

WakeStill is for adults only (18 and over). Do not upload photos of anyone under 18.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. To use these rights, or to have photos deleted sooner than 30 days, email support@wakestill.com.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and stored with reputable cloud providers with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your account credentials safe.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you on the site or by email.
